BUSINESS FAMILIES AT THE FOREFRONT OF SUSTAINABILITY

Banca March has partnered with the IE Center for Families in Business, to study and understand the keys to the case of four family businesses that are at the forefront of sustainability: ACTIU, CALVO, ENHOL and GONZÁLEZ BYAS.​ The conclusions of this research were translated, on the one hand, into a multimedia pedagogical case, in English and Spanish, to be used in the classroom and in training programs and, on the other hand, into informative videos to be widely disseminated.​

THE TURNAROUND OF LEGO: CONTINUED GROWTH UNDER FAMILY OWNERSHIP

This case study analyses the evolution of Lego between 2000 and 2013, highlighting the role the family dimension of the company played and its influence on strategic decision-making. Three main aspects are addressed: the management of corporate strategy, implications of family ownership in the company’s growth and the role of a CEO that is not part of the family.​
