Round Table on the Listed Family Company

On October 7, a round table on the listed family business was organized by Ei Estrategias de Inversión. The event was attended by experts, including Cristina Cruz, Academic director of the Center for Families in Business and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business at IE BUSINESS SCHOOL

During the session, participants discussed the general situation of family businesses which represent 89% of the Spanish business scope. Despite its large presence, it has a lower impact. Fortunately, there is room for improvement, investment and opportunities for growth. To achieve this, two elements that will play a key role in this process must be taken into account: the importance of corporate governance and the need to value family businesses’ strengths.
