Family Business Education in Master's and Undergraduate Programs at IE
To complement our MBA and Bachelor in Business Administration programs, we offer an optional course in family business education for 150 students per year, aged 21 to 31.
Learning objectives are focused on the motivations and challenges in family businesses:
- Responsible shareholder training
- Promoting the entrepreneurial mentality of the next generation
- Governance and professionalization of the family business
We have 15 years of experience in delivering family business courses in two languages (English and Spanish), with the highest uptake among MBA students. Participants rate our family business classes highly (more than 4.4 out of 5).

A one-of-a-kind collaboration between three leading schools—IE Business School in Madrid, LUISS Business School in Rome and IESEG School of Management in Lille. This program helps participants understand and harness opportunities for sustainable growth while sharing strategies for family cohesion and family succession planning.
