Dr. Cristina Cruz participates as Keynote Speaker in the last conference organized by IFERA
After two years without being able to be held, IFERA, the Congress of the International Academy for Family Business Research, took place at the University of Cantabria (Santander) on June 22nd and 23rd. The edition entitled “The Gears of Legacies, Next-Generations Driving Family Business Renewal and Endurance” featured a prestigious panel of professors, academics, and speakers, including Dr. Cristina Cruz, academic director of the IE Center for Families in Business.
During her speech, Professor Cruz addressed a key topic of study in the family business ecosystem: the importance of cooperation between different generations, which profoundly determines the ability and willingness of these companies to drive processes of strategic and organizational renewal. Through the importance of generational value, Cruz emphasized the need to build more bridges between the academia and practical reasoning, with the aim of making a unique contribution to the ability of these companies to survive and thrive in rapidly evolving social, technological, competitive, and institutional contexts.
Once again, IFERA’s annual conference addressed a key theme of the entrepreneurial family ecosystem, serving as the international reference forum to bring together several key stakeholders around a single passion: family businesses’ research.
IFERA – International Family Enterprise Research Academy – is a non-profit association that encompasses an international network of academics, researchers, and other key stakeholders in the family business ecosystem. As part of its activities as an academic organization, IFERA organizes an annual series of internationally recognized conferences to contribute to the advancement of family business research.
